I grew up with my father out of our home most of the time. He has spent more nights not sleeping in their (his and mother’s) bedroom, has shared more meals with other people and a lot more, which is why even after forever, I miss him like I am not used to it. These realizations are starting to make me tear up right now but I will try my best to hold it up until I finish.

I filed for leave today because it is family day! Papa’s cruise ship dropped by the shores of our islands – the day before yesterday they visited Palawan and yesterday, Boracay – and we were so excited! It’s been a while since the ship he’s in went to Manila (baby brother was still less than a year and now he’s thirteen), so today it felt like it was all new.

Costa Victoria’s route is centered in Asia. It’s an advantage because chances that the Philippines will be included in the list of destinations are high and it’s true enough! Unlike Papa’s previous cruise ships that were focused in Europe, South America, Africa and the United States.

We were able to experience the cruise for a day and it was fun! We’re all looking forward to a much longer one maybe next year, and we can’t wait! We’ll also have longer quality times and that’s the most exciting part of all!

We had lunch at Sinfonia Restaurant first!

After lunch, we went around and met people of different races! Papa has always been Mr. Congeniality and being friendly is one of his charms!

My sister and I enjoyed so much and we figured we looked like first timers (haha) but whatever! It felt like we were at a different country only we’re not sure where because technically we’re still in Manila!

I can’t believe it’s all done because we’ve been anticipating for this day since we learned about the dock. It’s such a different experience seeing Papa in his own workplace and I’m glad that we became a whole family after few months of being separated even just for a day! I know I’m used to it but the moment of parting ways is sincerely the hardest and will always be!

I thank God for today and this is definitely something that I want to throwback immediately! Can’t wait for next month, Costa Victoria is coming back!

I like to color my nails and I adore Filipino time.
