I’m trying my hardest to keep my eyes open as I write this. I know there’s no need to complicate – if I’m already yawning I could just go to bed – but I want to be true to the commitment that I have for this blog. Also, I’m just really on write mode right now, probably because of the release of Dinah which is big on its distraction-free writing function.
For my recent bazaar finds, constructing a new entry is probably the better idea as every paper buy (and gift) is always of high significance. This set of goodies made me giggle in a different way, for I had to give myself an A for effort before I could get my hands on them. I’m finally sharing with you my Suitcase Souvenirs haul!
These postcards were what made me come, actually. The tone of the images and the typography, they matched with something inside me. Looking at each of them is just so soothing, I picture my future self and it makes me want to meet her now, but at the same time I want to be still and just keep on smiling at the idea. It’s my weirdness coming out again, but I found them inspirational.
I needed to have them in my life.
These were also stuff I got from Abbey‘s booth. They’re tips and guides with messages that won’t make you feel intimidated to engage yourself with art, just because you see that others are so good at it. I love these cards!
Got these bookmarks from Kimi, one for myself and one for my sister. They’re just so nice to have and will keep me more inspired to read.
I got this one from Mikka. It’s my biggest purchase from the bazaar, and my favorite, too. It’s been a while since I last had a hard copy of a book. I’ve been reading a lot, but the past few years, I’ve always relied on e-books. They’re handy, and above all, cheap. Free, actually.
But you know what they say, nothing beats the smell of the paper and the feels of the text printed out. I plan to start purchasing paperbacks again in the upcoming year, but I’m not going to pledge that I will get rid of the electronic copies! I’m the kind of girl who always have a hard time deciding what to put in my bags. I end up leaving “leavable” (not going to say unnecessary) stuff on my bed, because of weight issues (I’m not pertaining to my body but I also have issues with that, lol).
So anyway, I bought this because the gist got me thrilled. Mikka had this nice concept of wrapping the book so you won’t know what exactly it is, but she has written the central theme of the story on the wrapper so you’d have an idea. I was excited to go home, because I wanted to know what book it was that I just got for myself!
I haven’t started reading this one yet but I will soon, I’ll just finish Gone Girl and hopefully Before Ever After, which I’ve also put on hold for a while now.
And last but not the least, The Specialty Coffee Map, because I just had to.
